Dennis Cavalier
Dennis Cavalier was born May 19, 1951 and raised in the 9th ward of New Orleans around France and Claiborne streets. It is an intensely musical neighborhood. The same neighborhood where Fats Domino, Jesse Hill, Oliver Morgan and the Lastie Family where raised. He was greatly influenced by piano giants Professor Longhair, Dr. John and Fats Domino.
In the early 70's Dennis started playing piano with Walter "Wolfman" Washington. He's also played and/or recorded with Gary B.B. Coleman, Delbert McClinton, Guitar Slim Jr., Johnny Adams, Wayne Bennet, Nappy Brown, Mighty Sam McClain, The Platters, The Drifters, The Coasters, Etta James and Doug Kershaw. He has opened shows for Irma Thomas, The Funky Meters, Wayne Toups, Chubby Carrier, Chris Ardoin, Geno DeLafose and Bruce Daigrepoint.
As a songwriter Dennis has more than 30 songs published in Nashville, New York and L.A. His song "All Night Long" went to #40 in Billboard Magazine in 1981.
